down his sentence, the judge spoke directly to the victims. he assured them, it's for your courage and not for your assault, that you will be remembered. in bellefonte, pennsylvania, andrea mccarren, 9news. >> we should note under pennsylvania law, sandusky cannot be released on parole before the minimum 30 years has been done. there's no shortage coming on to our facebook page. stephanie wrote, whatever time he serves does not take away the ordeals these young men went through. i pray for them. belinda jackson said he should have received life in jackson. oh well, with his age, he will die in jail. and cindy redding writes, he doesn't recognize what he did was wrong. that's the sad part. he is innocent, what a pig. those poor boys. jerry sandusky's refusal to admit his crimes and lack of remorse, we have seen those things before. recently in fact, and right in this area. here's peggy fox with more on that.

fantasies, that typically involve gratifying these impulses to harm others. and they tend never to feel remorse. >> peggy fox, 9news now. >> moving on to another high powered executive feeling the heat for chopping down some trees overlooking the canal in potomac. robert stevens admits he cleared 25,000 square feet of trees located in the merry-go- round. that location is just up the street from dan schneider who also ran into some trouble for cutting down trees without permission. the lawyer for steven said he had the woods thinned out because last june caused so much damage to his property. executive says he paid $1,000 fine and he is working closely with montgomery county authorities to restore that land to its natural beauty. one community, two group homes, and neighbors who say they are fed up with it. this is in clarksburg, maryland, where a mentally ill man died yesterday after being pepper sprayed by the cops.

outlay of the martin o'malley, robert ehrlich campaigns in 2006. penn national is fighting a proposal to develop a casino at prince georges county. more problems tonight for the former d.c. council chair, kwame brown. kwame, or should i say, mr. brown has been placed under curfew and ordered to make weekly visits with court officials. that court order comes earlier today. brown resigned last june after pleading not guilty to bank fraud and a campaign violence. he is not putting himself in the best position ahead of his sentencing and warned him not to tempt fate. and howard brooks should learn his fate tomorrow. brooks was the former campaign consultant who admitted he funneled funds to former friends candidate, sulaimon brown. it was all part of a campaign designed to improve gray's chances in the election. brooks pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice last may. a new study finds americans

in the mail bag tonight, the sentence handed down to convicted child molester, jerry sandusky. 30 to 60 years. not eligible for patrol until he is 98 years old. but a.j. says that's not enough. i think the sentence was not good, fair, or just. yes, most likely he will die in prison, but there were 45 victims. a sentence of 30 years is not even one year for each victim. for what they went through and what they'll continue to go through for the rest of their lives, the man assaulted them should get more than less than a year for each victim. okay a.j., i'm not sure what you are asking for. you admit sandusky is almost certain to die in prison, so then what else can happen to him? sadly, making those victims whole is beyond the power of the justice system. and then there was this on that proisrael subway ad referring

to jihaddists as savages. ron says you need to open your ears. sorry, but nowhere in the ad is the word muslim used. it equates jihaddist to savages who kill innocent people. you stated in your report that the ads refer to muslims. so far from the truth. do your home work and tell listeners the truth. jihaddists are savages. and similar sentiments from craig in king george, virginia. where is the attack on muslims? i read support civilized man over religious terrorism. people need to learn how to read what is written. a couple of things. i've never heard the word jihad used regarding anything except islam. so come on. and besides, from what i understand, a literal translation of that word from the arkansas arabic is struggle. however, i would say the word extremist, for example, is a lot less religiously charged.
